When you’re in the field of helping people, it kills you— the ones you couldn’t save. It really begins to tug at your core and it begins to mess with you; the what ifs and the what could be done’s.
I’ve struggled with that for years, wondering what else could I have done but this morning, as I woke and looked to the sky— I released the ones I couldn’t save. I realized and understood that I gave all I was supposed to give, I realized that giving is the birthing of hope.
Give- release- then hope that it stuck. That is made sense. Hope that the seed gets watered and it’s fair share of the sun.
