”I still wake up every morning and do what I love to do-Inspire.”

Nearly one week ago, Poet D’elve Je Veux III was robbed and assaulted by four thugs, as he left his home to pick up food at a local restaurant. Recently celebrating his latest book release, At Random/WORDS, the 33-year-old poet has now found himself at home in Philadelphia, recovering from his attack after being released from the hospital.
These things happen and when they do…you must find the courage to break free from the negative impact and scars they leave. Sometimes this is a very hard thing to do. The first thing you feel after an attack like this- is anger and I have allowed myself that moment, to feel what I feel-guilt free…many are not willing to admit to that-but I can. You get angry at the cruelties of humanity, the violations of honor and respect but it doesn’t just stop there with me and I think that’s where the magic happens. I use that anger and turn it into positives. I focus on the fact that I am still alive. I can still smile. I can still laugh. I can still love. The very fact that I STILL CAN, is enough for me. It becomes but a testament to my inner strength and all that I’ve been able to endure. I still wake up every morning and do what I love to do-Inspire.
This is why we love Poet Delve Je Veux III, so much, even after such a devastating situation, he is able to maintain integrity, character and still find the strength to us inspire us all.
Meanwhile, two suspects have been arrested in regards to this case.
” …I will see to it that his attackers are brought to justice.”

Poet-Philosopher D’elve Je Veux III is home recovering after being attacked and robbed by four men late Thursday night.
The attack occurred around 11:30 p.m. in Philadelphia’s Germantown section, shortly after the noted poet left his home to pick up dinner at a local restaurant. D’elve suffered a concussion and multiple cuts and bruises, his publicist said.
After the “pack of thugs” – as described by Michelle Townes, the publicist — fled, D’elve woke up in a puddle of his own blood, disoriented, in an unknown place. He was found by a local resident who later called police.
Police said, as it stands, this incident seems to be linked to a number of random attacks in that area.
“There are a number of reported attacks like this, isolated to this particular area but none as drastic as what Mr. Je Veux III had to endure.”
Police sources report, that D’elve’s recollections are clouded by his head injuries but assured the public that all efforts would be made to find his attackers.
“ To know that this young man dedicates his life to improving the lives of others and was attacked in such a violent way… to have this happen within our own community, affects us all. I will see to it that his attackers are brought to justice, we will do everything we can…we are wishing him a speedy recovery”—Police officials said.
Publicist, Michelle Townes reports that D’elve is up in spirits and has his journal at his bed side.
